You've got a show in you.
Let's build it.
Creating your own cabaret is a hands on program for performers who are done waiting for someone else to cast them in their own story.
Create Your Own Cabaret
A step-by-step program for turning your life into a show people will pay to see.
Who It's For?
1
Performers with real material — a story, a voice, a point of view — but no idea how to shape it into a full show
People who've done the open mic circuit and are ready for something with an actual arc, start to finish
Anyone tired of auditioning for other people's stories
Who It's Not For?
2
If you're looking for a one-off songwriting session or general acting coaching, this isn't that
If you're not willing to dig into your own life for material, this process won't work for you
How It Works
3
Discovery Call — We talk through where you are and what you're sitting on.
Story Mining — We find the real material — the stuff that's actually worth a stage.
Arc Building — We shape it into a show with a beginning, middle, and end — not just a set list.
Setlist Sequencing — Songs, bits, and monologues placed so the room feels the ride.
Monologue Development — The connective tissue that makes it feel like you, live.
Performance-Ready Show — You walk away with something you can actually book.
How Much Does it cost?
4
Core Program — $25 (one-time)
The self-paced workbook walkthrough: story mining, arc building, setlist sequencing, monologue prompts. This does not include any 1:1 personalized sessions.
1:1 Sessions — still $125-150/session, sold separately
For the parts that genuinely benefit from a live eye: arc feedback, monologue polish, final run-through before performance
No minimum session count required — client buys exactly what they need
Why Me?
I've spent over a decade — starting with Sex and Sangria: Love in Time of Recession in 2007 — building shows out of my own life: What About Love (2012), Put Down the D*ck and Pick Up the Mic (2013), and Put Down the Pot and Pick Up the Mic (2026). I know what it takes to go from "I have some songs I like" to a room full of people who came for you — because I've done it four times over.

“Ashley is so easy to talk to and she really helped me figure out what story I needed to tell.”
— Joanna “My agent said I should do a cabaret and he suggested Ashley and I am so glad he did. She understands performing and was so empathetic with me. I can’t recommend her enough. 10 out of 10 would recommend.”
— Max“I have always wanted to do a cabaret and Ashley really understood my fears and helped me face them! I am so grateful!”
— Isabelle“I have put off doing a cabaret thinking it’s something you do when you are old but I am so glad I didn’t wait. I needed to do this to get to my next level. Now I have footage I can use for my acting sites. ”
